- History: QWISE was formed in 2004 by a small group of Qualcomm women engineers. Over the years we have grown in numbers and have spread our reach throughout Qualcomm and all of our worldwide offices. We offer various programs, seminars and lectures with subjects that range from professional development, career coaching, leadership, mentoring (both for full time employees as well as interns), innovation and technology topics. We also facilitate networking opportunities for our members, in partnership with our external partners, to encourage our members to broaden their professional network to the greater San Diego community and beyond. Although our offerings are employee driven and managed, we partner with various teams across Qualcomm (Employee Resource, Career Explorations, Campus Recruiting) to ensure that we bring wide-ranging and highest quality programs to meet the needs of our diverse membership. Through the years, QWISE has continued to receive recognition from the Qualcomm executive teams as they support us in our mission of professional development of women in technology.
